Donnie is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana and attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science, and his Juris Doctorate from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where Donnie served as a member of the Moot Court Board, and also represented LSU at the Association of Trial Lawyers of America’s National Mock Trial Competition held in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Donnie is a member of the Louisiana State and Lafayette Bar Associations, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers Section of the Louisiana Bar Association. Donnie’s practice is primarily in the fields of general civil litigation, workers’ compensation defense, insurance defense, and automotive and premises liability. Donnie is licensed to practice law before all Louisiana State Courts, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and all United States District Courts in Louisiana. He is married to the former Stephanie Hulin and they have one son, Donovan III.
