Garrett is a lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. He attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and earned a degree in Business Management in 2021. Following his graduation, Garrett attended Loyola University School of Law and obtained his Juris Doctorate in 2024. Throughout his time in college and law school, he worked with Jeansonne & Remondet as a runner and law clerk.

After living in New Orleans, Louisiana for three years, Garrett returned to Lafayette, Louisiana and rejoined Jeansonne & Remondet as a practicing attorney. His areas of practice include commercial vehicle liability, construction defects, premise liability, and general liability.
