Born and raised in New Iberia, Louisiana, Alex attended Tulane University on an athletic scholarship where he played football. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Tulane and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Loyola School of Law in New Orleans. Upon graduation, Alex clerked for the District Judges in the 16th Judicial District comprising the Parishes of Iberia, St. Martin and St. Mary. From 1975 – 2004, Alex was a shareholder in the law firm of Roy, Forrest and Lopresto, A Professional Law Corporation, prior to joining Jeansonne & Remondet, L.L.C. in 2005. He has extensive trial experience before both, judge and jury, in general civil litigation including automobile, products, and premises liability, insurance fraud, and government and public sector law. Alex is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, United States District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Louisiana, and United States District Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Lafayette Parish Bar Association, Iberia Parish Bar Association (past president), and Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.
